As I have Facebook updates, and I don't really give a bollock what Stephen Fry or whoever is up to of an afternoon, Twitter seems completely pointless to me.
I think it has its place if you're following the progress of something that updates quite frequently and it can be summarised in small chunks (it becomes like a news feed). But I'm not really into things like "I sat down to watch the TV with my cat". Not sure who'd be interested or who'd want to tell others things like that.
I think that sums up Twitter pretty well. People can get into Facebook in an obsessive way but Twitter seems tailor-made for people to just post endlessly inane comments. Don't see the point really...

Aye.

I know very little about twitter but that amusing little sketch confirms what I thought when I heard about it.
A very apt name . . .
